I was a little iffy on this lens until I did a newborn session of my nephew this weekend. Perfect range for an indoor photoshoot, great sharpness and clarity. The focusing isn't as quick as I would like (some Tamron equivalent to USM/HSM would be nice), but considering I got a pretty good deal on this used it's definitely a keeper.

Canon 5D, ISO 160, f/3.2, 1/200th @ 51mm, manual exposure, off camera flash

Canon 5D, ISO 160, f/3.5, 1/200th @ 68mm, manual exposure, off camera flash

After I got my 24-105L, I came to appreciate the 28-75 much more. It's a great lens.
