CLICK HERE! The art of social media: Generating real results using social networking
In just two short years, Facebook has grown to host more than 200 million active users worldwide – and that’s just one of many examples of the explosive growth of social networking. Given the phenomenon of this “new media,” businesses large and small are now scrambling to attempt to leverage it to improve customer relationships and increase profits.
But while there’s a lot of buzz and activity taking place, few businesses (especially small ones) have come up with solid, strategic plans that do more than stretch their existing resources even thinner. Our discussion will introduce you to the major social networks and provide some solid guidance on how you can utilize them to increase visibility, strengthen branding and generate positive results for your business or career.
Topics will include:
Basics of business promotion and relationship-building on social networks
Overview of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn and other major social networks
The “one thing” any social media effort must include
What you can learn from small businesses that have done it right
How to get started
Ideas for appropriate success metrics
