The Beauty of the Animal

In the Summer of 2007, I traveled to Montana to photograph at a game ranch that specializes in providing photographers the opportunities to photograph animals that they may never have the opportunity to see, even after years in the wild. The Triple D Game Farm, located in Kalispell, MT, is the premier location for photographing healthy, well-cared for animals of all kinds. These animals are ambassadors for their species, and it is through compelling photography that the plight of many of these creatures is brought to light.

I was so impressed with the location and the people that I signed up to lead a four-day workshop there in May of 2008. We had another wonderful year at the Triple D, and have decided to return for the third year in a row. This workshop, which is limited to eight people, will include three days of shooting many of the different species, and a fourth day dedicated to Digital Printing and Workshop Management. I will also have an assistant who is a professional photographer as well. That means two leaders for eight participants.
