Whales, Eagles, Icebergs, Beauty
For many photographers, myself included, Alaska is the premier destination for photographing nature and wildlife in North America. I have been thrilled to visit and lead workshops to Alaska for many years, and once again, we are taking an amazing trip to Juneau, Alaska to photograph whales, eagles, icebergs, glaciers, and so much more. This summer we will be teaming up with Captain Jay Beedle, a life long Juneau resident, and one of the best captains I have ever worked with. Read on to discover more about this amazing trip to Alaska.
What makes this trip unique is its intimacy. For session one (July 19-23) there will be a limit of six photographers, which amounts to three on each boat plus a workshop leader. These smaller vessels allow us to get right into the action and get closer to glaciers. Also, they are less intrusive on the wildlife we are seeking to photograph. For session two (July 26-30) there will be a limit of three photographers.
Both sessions include three days on the water photographing for at least 8 hours, an often 12-14 hours, and include all lodging, ground transportation, and meals. This is not a journey to be missed. Because of the limited size it is imperative that you sign up soon. I expect this workshop to sell out by March or April of 2009.
