The Business View of Photography (January / February 2009)

Hello All!

As many of you know, we are putting together a monthly seminar that invites a member of the business community to speak about those issues that affect photographers.

Some months, we will have Photographer Roundtables where working pros discuss some topic of interest. These seminars will be held the Fourth Wednesday of every month from 7PM - 9PM at our Workshop Studio in Dallas, TX. The events will be catered, and it is a really great way to meet fellow photographers in the area.

January 2009 :: Inaugural Meeting (Open Topic) FREE ADMISSION

For our first meeting on January 28th, 2009, we will be hosting a FREE informal get together that can serve as a networking event, and a way to get to know what this program will be like. We will have a small Photographer's Roundtable, where participants can ask questions, suggest topics for future events and have fun! All questions are allowed! Attendees will receive significant discounts on future admission to this seminar series.

February 2009 :: The Art of the Contract

On February 25th, 2009, we are thrilled to welcome Matt Polze, lawyer and university professor to come and discuss the nature of the contract. No matter if we are signing one, creating one, reading one, or amending one, it is imperative that we understand the legal ramification of our actions. Matt is also an expert in employment law, so questions about employees, independent contractors, and other such issues can be addressed during questions as well. This is an amazing opportunity to hear from a lawyer without having to pay lawyers rates! Registration is limited to 30 participants.
