...deathly brown.....

...with apologies to the ancient TV commercial (Motorola? RCA? Zenith?), today's train shot is from Rosenberg, Texas. With a little help from a circular polarizer and some luck on the timing.

Ken, very nice shot. The polarizer really set off the sky and clouds. I'm not sure how you'd feel about it but what if you cloned the top part of the bush or tree on the right side, flipped it and pasted it on the lower left corner - not high enough to block the train but enough to block out the uninteresting dead grass?

Poor focus behind the camera creates as many bad photos as poor focus through the camera!

thanx, losing the grass would be a distinct possibility, and minimizing it was considered during the numerous crop evaluations that ended up with this version. Moving stuff around is always a possiblity for me, but I hadn't gone that far here. yet.

However, without the dead grass, my painfully ancient title abomination wouldn't work......
