Wednesday lunch at Carswell - 03-04-2010, 02:12 AM


A few birds flying around today.
The C5 was in the local pattern making touch and goes.
It is a seriously large airplane.

It's got lots of wheels that stow sideways in the fuselage.

Yes I do. I get over there and have lunch and listen to the radio and watch the boys have some fun.

Nice series, Tom! Cool detail on the landing gear.

Seeing the stuff y'all are posting in this forum has inspired me to spend some time near the end of some of the runways here in San Antonio.

C-5A on approach to Kelly AFB (or whatever it's called now). They ARE huge airplanes!

There is a less optimum but usable spot on the south west side of the base off of Lockheed Blvd. Enter just across from the church.
