Good stuff, my one advice would be to get lower. They all look as if you're shooting downward, with the exception of the jump shots. Don't rely on zoom and position your self, try some wide angle shots.
number 1 with the panning is by far the best.

Sweet shots ... I like number 3 ... only because it's a great shot of the slide.
They look pretty good for your attempt at motorcross.

Thanks for the comments. Yep, I was up high for many of the shots, one of the vendors saw me on the ground near the ropes and invited me to get on the roof of his U-Haul type truck. Great vantage point in my opinion, (but for the downward shooting angles), as I no longer had people or other distractions between the riders and I.
As for wide angle shots, I'll keep that in mind for next time.
I did have in my subconscious many of the reviews/critiques which I have read before: Focus on the eyes, Fill The Frame, Don't freeze the action, show movement in the wheels. And tried to emulate the best that I could.

Nice work. Some of them look a touch soft, but in looking at your EXIF it seems you used appropriate shutter speeds (400-640). Maybe it's the downsizing for web.

You'll get better. These are very nice. I personally like the downward angle because it does allow you to lose the crowd and other technical distractions and give you a good semi solid background.
Panning technique is hard to master. Yours are very good.
My experience has been that moving around a lot (if possible) to get different angles and lighting can make a difference.
It's nice when someone allows you to use their high vantage, but don't get stuck there for the whole event.

Wow, Thanks CaptainTom, I see your in a good mood today :)
I had a lot of fun, I experimented with a SS of 1/100 to 1/3200, with the majority being 1/250~1/600.
I have some very sharp photos when I got the SS <1/1000 but they were fairly uninteresting as you could not tell that the bikes were moving but for the occasional rooster tail.
The ones I posted up I felt were some of my sharper images, that does not mean that they are, but compared to others from Saturdays shoot these are some of my better ones.
Thanks for the feedback.

Three Palms, here in The Woodlands (well between Conroe and The Woodlands). Main Track, and River Track mostly.
