After a soggy weekend, NASCAR finally got to run both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide races (15 drivers drove over 800 laps in one day - whew!).
I was positive it was going to be a bad day due to low fan turnout but in typical Texas fashion, I was proven so very wrong. The fans showed up! and gave those great backgrounds you crave as a race shooter.
Anyway, here's a select few from the Sprint Cup race...
This was the story of the weekend. Blowers, dryers and damp, wet pavement. Each crew dried their own pit stall:

Fans did not let weather or Monday's come between them and their racing. All fans with tickets to either Sprint Cup or Nationwide could watch either or both races. Fans who had traveled and had to leave were not so thrilled...
Kevin Harvick pit stop. Good crew:

Now take a look at that same crew members face as he was able to catch that tire before it caused his boss headaches:
Going away at turn 1. Sure wish I would have been here for that monster wreck that happened toward the end of the race...
