Race photos, injuries and miracles! - 05-20-2010, 09:34 PM

This young lady broke her collar bone in practice on her big bike and decided to run the track on her pit bike so she could still gain championship points. She certainly had determination.

Then there is this guy (#410) who was found crashed on the track with no pulse and not breathing. Luckily one of the racers who found him was a firefighter and started CPR right away. He was taken via CareFlight to JPS hospital where he was kept in a coma for a day and then brought out. Amazingly he is fine and they expect a full recovery. A testament to quick medial care.

Here are a few of more from the race.

Wow! Good tracking on the aerial shots at only 1/250th sec. Good job!

This is TORN. The race was last weekend at the Beaumont Ranch in Grandview.

Its funny, I don't really pay attention to my settings any more after the shoot and just noticed I was all over between manual, shutter priority and aperature priority on these shots. It was one of those days that was cloudy then sunny and I shot out in the open and under the tree canopy.

Thanks!
