NASCAR race photos

I know NASCAR is not a big thing in California, heck I lived there for 38 years and never had the slightest interest until I moved 15 minutes away from the track. On a pure photography level it's a fantastic challenge. Lots of color and high speed action. When you finally get 43 cars and 150,000 people together it actually makes for some nice imagery....

Everyone's digging that shot. Totally random. I went into the garage to get away from the billion people who were wandering around with "VIP" passes making life miserable. I'd never seen the garage so clean, empty and quiet so I took a few shots, put on the headphones and headed back out...

Thats what I love about Sears Point. I can't get a credential so I'm at the mercy of the fences to get my shots for the day. But at least there are a few areas I can shoot from, just wish I had the access to a couple of really nice areas.

I dream of shooting at Infineon! I've seen some spectacular images come away from that track.
