Love the rolling shot.

I think it would have been better if the shutter was just a bit longer to blur out the background tad bit more.

Rolling shot is very cool. The first one needs a crop or something, it just seems awkward an dark to me...so really like most shots of my black cars. I like the angle on 3 and 4 since it really highlights the dropped stance of the car.

Saw these on HI, I'm glad to see you've started to shoot cars! My advice would be this:

For black cars, unless you have a large softbox(es) and a strong light source, I would stay away from using flash. Black cars just absorb the light from speedlights and appear flat and dull. It's super frustrating, and I'm still trying to figure out how to shoot them, haha.

I've had the best results with light painting black cars, or shooting near sunset using natural light. Also, a CPL is a necessity for shooting black cars for sure.

The last two statics are really nice. the CPL really pops the paint on the nose shot.

Loving that third one! First two, the crops are way to tight! Remember the rule of thirds. Very important when shooting cars. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks all.

Theo, I was using a 750w/s light a 500w/s light I was just too lazy to put the 3'x4' boxes on. I was going to try light painting but didn't bring a flashlight. I'm (un)lucky enough to not own any speedlights so any flash you see is a monolight of some sort.
