2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder - 06-25-2011, 06:30 PM

Critique: NC:

Had the chance to briefly shoot (and drive!) a 2006 Lamborghini Spyder this past weekend. It's a pretty intimidating car, even just sitting in front of you. In reality though, it's pretty easy to drive as long as you respect the V10 sitting not-so-conspicuously behind your right ear. It was a ton of fun to drive and the engine seriously sounds more like an angry wild animal than a piece of machinery. It starts out with a hoarse growl below 3k that quickly turns into a high pitched scream towards redline. Definitely gave me goosebumps, haha. I wrote a blog posting on the Lambo located here if you'd like to read more.

I wish I'd had time to do a few rig shots, but I did get some rolling shots that I'm happy with!

I like #3 the most. I like #4 the least. I'm really envious that you got to drive it, wow.

I didn't realize that a car with that kind of horsepower was offered in convertible.

yeah, and the owner had some other modifications done as well. it handled great, but you could definitely tell the top was missing. it had some creaks and groans on driveways.

It is amazing how small they actually are in real life. They're like all motor with a steering wheel attached.

Wait, so the convertible was not from the factory?

I'm not sure about all that...the interior definitely was cramped, but the car itself is nearly 7.5' wide from mirror to mirror!

no, no, it was factory. spyders are pretty rare, however. he had some engine and exhaust modifications - pushing nearly 600 hp!

Nice pics, I like the mix of backgrounds, just watch the WB in #1, the seats and the Wheels have a blue cast or hue on them.

It would stink for a ladie's heel to go through the face of that sub in the passenger foot well.
