On Sunday afternoon, I went and had dinner and walked around in Kemah, TX, taking some photos.
All of the photos have been uploaded to the "Kemah - 2011-09-11" set on my Flickr account.

Here are three that were taken handheld, with available light, in front of Palapa's Bar on 6th Street.

Haha, my first thought was "man there are signs in all of the shots!" Yeah, I'm slow; I blame it on Friday.

I think the series is good, but my favorite are definitely the cars. Of the three you posted here, the first is my favorite. My only critique of it is that it looks a bit yellow.

That would be caused by the use of available light, and the choice to not color correct or adjust the white balance. Looks like a great spot to use an 18% gray card.......

Nice shots of the 57 by the way......

Thanks for looking.

Yeah, it's hard to get colors other than yellow/orange when there are so many sodium-vapor street lights in the area. I think if I had used a couple of flashes (which I didn't have), maybe then the colors would have been more correct.
