After having missed the B-29 flying at WOH last weekend, I was tickled to catch it doing flight experience rides at Houston Executive Airport in Brookshire west of Katy the following Wednesday....

I missed the B-24 since it didn't fly on Saturday...

Thanks, Ron. I was checking the CAF site to see which air show it would be flying at next and stumbled on the info on the B-29 flight experience page. Beats driving to El Paso, huh?

They are at Bergstrom in Austin this weekend.

I believe Fifi is to be at the Randolph AFB show in San Antonio next weekend.

In the photo showing the crew in front of the plane, the crew man on the right is Mike Vance, a friend. Mike is one of the pilots and also flew Fifi back in the Eighty's before she became grounded,and the Cavanaugh Museum put her back in the air.

When Fifi was at Meacham Field this summer Mike gave me a tour of Fifi. I certainly appreciated the privilege.

Mike said recently that on these tours his eating and hotel expenses are paid for by the foundation, but he receives no pay for his time. These guys are volunteers.

Great guys. At least one in his 20's too. Gotta keep the knowledge alive in order to fly it to the century mark in 2044!
