Checked out in one the spring of 1955 at Sturgate, England. No brakes, tail skid Buster Brown flight suit and five point harness . Still kick myself for doing XCs in the Auster - think Fairchild K24 look alike.

Lewis, My first flight in a Tiger Moth was also in the late 50's at the London Gliding Club. We did some rolls and a loop in the fragile looking thing. They are really great old planes.

May I ask what your speed was to blur that propeller? Nice shot.

EXIF says it was 1/400, f16, ISO 320. I usually try to keep the speed lower, so I am surprised that the prop blurred as much as it did.

The Kingsbury fly-in is always interesting. The gusty crosswind kept the WW1 planes on the ground this year, but some great planes flew in. Here are several more including a Meyers OTW and a PT-22.

I don't know about a national fly-in, but it seems to be turning into a Texas biplane site. They are lacking in parking space though.

Rob, thanks. I wondered who owned it and where it was from. It's a beautiful machine. Thanks for making several passes when you left. The light was magical and really made the shot.

Anytime you want to take specific pics, we are in Boerne . She is a 1940 model . Her name is " Victoria ". The passes I made were a little up and down as she is very effected by the wind !

cheers
rob

PSA: have the N number want to whom and where the plane is registered?
N8692 There's an app for that plus Google will search tail numbers.

Found the old logs the Tiger Moth I flew in Sgegness during 1955 was GA-NIZ.
