I have been interested in aviation since I was a child. I was lucky enough to be part of some big projects recently that called for a lot of aviation photography. As far as a market is concerned, I don't think there would be a big market for aviation photography. Most people see aviation as just another way to connect to destinations. I just wanted to showcase the beauty of aviation in hopes that people otherwise uninterested might stop and take a look.

Definitely some great vision and still photography here.

Awesome work.

Love that interior cockpit shot as well.

Thanks for the information, I was under the impression that a slow shutter speed was required to blurr the props and that formulated my faulty thinking on technique. Your pictures are very good, just like what is seen in aviation magazines.

Usually when using the Carl Zeiss 135/f1.8 in air to air, I shoot around 1/80 a sec in order to get the full rotation. In these images I wasn't able to as there was lots of bumps and given the limited time in the air I needed to produce some sharp shots.

My favorite is seventh(?) from the bottom. Way back in the early 50s I lusted to become a panel engineer on a B-36 or C-124. Alas it was not to be.

I believe you are referring to the Kalitta Boeing 747-200. Besides the FMS and upgraded glass, it's pretty original.
