Although the location and background are appropriate and well lit, it is distracting form the truck itself. To me the truck kinda blends in. Partly due to the color of the truck itself I'm sure. And partly because the treatment of the truck and the Bg elements are process the same. I do realize the effect your going for, but i still think there needs to be a distinct difference between you main subject(truck) and other Bg elements.
Thanks for the critique. While I agree with you on all points, the shot was taken for the shop owner and not the truck owner. With that being said I think it was important to show the shop and the truck. He even wanted to leave the primered truck that belongs to him in the photo. If I were shooting for the truck owner I would have emphisized the truck in the shots. Thanks again for the critique.

I have to say you did a great job lighting a black vehicle and keeping it visible and not falling back as part of the background.

But I don't expect anything less from you Dale. :)

I'd like to disagree with Marshal ^. I actually think the fact that main motif and background go together perfectly makes these images "different" but extremely good.

Dale, if you ever decide to make a tutorial or give a workshop I'll be the first one who wants to hear about it. :)
Your work sets the standard in this kind of photography.

Thanks Andre. I'll keep you posted if I ever decide to hold a workshop.
