Tilt/Shift at TMS (Truck race tonight) - 06-09-2007, 12:12 AM

I've never been approached as much as I have in the last two days with people asking me how I like the 24mm tilt/shift lens. It's fairly amazing.

I'm loving this lens. It's got some magic built into it that I don't understand quite yet.

This image was taken at 8:50pm this evening. ISO 800, 1/100 @ f/3.5. It should be very dark but if you adjust the tilt/shift a certain way it lets in amazing amounts of light (and yes if you reverse the position the images come out very, very dark).

Not once have I truly been envious of Canon shooters until tonight. This lens is special!

Much fun tonight. I'm looking forward to the Indy race tomorrow evening.

That's cool.
You know if you blurred out the lower center section up to the guy in the yellow hat and green shirt it would look like a picture of a scale model of the track.

That's the look you can get with this lens, it's really cool. The new found light was a complete bonus. I'll have this lens again for tonights IRL race.

I don't know much about this lens, but it looks like there is a streak of focus through the middle of the pic, or maybe two different focus areas. I see an area of focus in the stands up front, and maybe even another focus point at the Speedway Club sign at the top middle of the picture. Very cool!!!

Very cool image and creative use of the T/S. I have the 90mm version, but rarely use it. I need to dust it off.
