wow, those are cool shots, I really like 1 & 3, the ones with the reflection

what camera are you using? I assume any dslr with an underwater housing would work for that?

The only reason I don't like the last shot, is he has no body. There is a head, a hand, and two feet. His black suit/body is gone. I do like 1 and 2 the most.

I find all of these fascinating, but the pose, composition, wardrobe and her expression really come together in the first one. It is outstanding!

hey james, I am wanting to do some underwater maternity portraits very similarly lit to your first image. Mind sharing with me how you actually lit this and your settings.

I am assuming fastest sync speed to make the background go black...but where are your lights?

Well Clint, I could tell you but I'd have to kill you :-)

No but seriously - good luck! That first shot was lit w/ a strobe+softbox above and one strobe on the camera.

Yes, sync speed was 1/200th or 1/250th

Cheers
James

Makes me wanna jump in the pool!

Was the first one shot at night? or just the way the lighting is manipulated?

I wonder what a composition would look like with #3 using the girl in that same pose, but mixed with a top reflection of the guy in a similar pose...kind of a dream kiss sort of thing?
