Looks like you had a great dive - I like the colors you captured in the last two images of the eel.

these were taken with a nikon d90 in an ikelite housing with two DS-161 strobes. The corsair was shot with a 12-24/4 and the others were taken with a 105/2.8. I love the 105, but found it to be a little difficult to work with underwater on the d90 so I am going to do macro stuff this year with the 60mm.

Brett, you've capture some pretty nice underwater images. It's gotta be a blast doing that under those conditions. It was a pleasure metting you at the rookery. Take Care, David.

thanks, | It is an F4 Corsair and it is in about 105' of water. According to the story I heard, the pilot ditched the plane in 1948 due to mechanical problems or was out of gas. It was originally in about 30' of water on a reef but was moved to deeper water in the 70s to protect it from waves and make it less accessible to snorkelers and scavengers. It's pretty much intact. The cowling was supposedly ripped off because the original mooring line was tied to it and the fabric surfaces are gone (rudder, elevators, etc.). It's a couple miles offshore southeast of oahu. Definitely a cool dive if you get a chance. We dove it twice while we were there. It's not always accessible due to waves and strong currents.

Really nice shots! .... Waiting on a Subal CD7 housing / 200mm dome port / Tokina 10-17mm / twin Inon z240's kit from Backscatter. Trying it out for the first time in Cabo-Mex. in 3 weeks.
Thanks for stoking me.
