My family and I were on a cruise over Christmas, and while in Cozumel on Christmas Eve, my son took his first clear water ocean dive. He has been open water certified for just over a year now, but this was his first ocean dive.

I shot this with a desposable underwater camera at about 50 feet in depth. It is rated for 50 feet, so did not take it any deeper. The quality is not much to brag about, but for a desposable camera, I really could not complain.

very cool... i wish i had gotten to complete my dive schooling...

i took the class back when i was 13 and went thru the whole thing, passed my open water etc. just beforethe final written test the school went bankrupt and closed. other schools were gonna require me to re take the entire thing all over again and i couldnt afford to go thru it again..

ugh. oh well

If you can get your Open Water, I highly recommend it!!! I have been SCUBA diving since 1989.

My brother, his sons, my son and I really have a lot of fun through out the year diving around the area..... but nothing compars to the Caribbean for a cool dive! One of these days, I want to get a really good underwater camera, but for the time being, you can't beat the price of the desposables.
