These are all North Sulawesi, Indonesia Anemone (Clown) fish. The first was taken in Sept 2001, on the Digital Shootout (it won a catagory, and a copy of Photoshop Elements)...Shooting 3.1 mp Olympus in those days.

The second shot shows a family, but was not as sharply focused as the previous shot. Clownfish are a bit tricky to catch, since they are defending the anemone, and will duck and dive in an effort to get rid of you, leading up to coming out of the anemone and swimming agressively (like their cousins, damsels) toward you, and your exposed knuckles.

This pink skunk clown in its turquoise anemone (from 2001 trip) is one of my favorites.

This clown is from the October 2006 trip (D2XS), and for some reason this guy was exceedingly territorial about his home.

Well now, are these cool shots, or what? So much color and so different from the typical post. Very well done. Thank you.

i clicked the shutter. here were the only 3 real keepers i got on my entire trip!
