Came across this little fellow a few days ago.



Its a squat anemone shrimp. Only about 1/4 of an inch long. Used a nikon d100 with a 60mm macro lens in a nexus housing.

Steve how the Excalak and Majahual survived I believe last year great hurricane? I'm planing this spring to go back to Chinchoro diving

wow that is a cool pic. I have never been scuba diving but would love to try it one day. Thanks for sharing

Hi Matwey! Mahahual is still rebuilding but is almost ready again. Xcalak wasnt hit very hard by the storm. It didnt take more then a few weeks and everyone here was running again. Chinchoro did get hit real hard though. Lots of the dive sites were torn up. The hurricane tracked right over the top of Chinchorro.
Look me up when you get here!

Hey Kelley!
It is a Hermit Crab. I dont have an exact ID on it yet. Its not in my ID books. He is just a little guy. The shell is smaller then a marble. When he moves it is really quick.
