Yes, you can rent them. Contact Reef Photo and Video or Backscatter for rental info.

Alternatively, I have a 1DsII housing but no camera right now. Maybe you could rent a 1DsII or 1DmkII and I'd let you use/rent my housing.

Cheers
James

Thanks James... I appreciate the info, and the offer..... and now for my next question... Does anyone have an underwater set up that they wouldn't mind renting for the day that lives in Austin? I am looking to shoot some shots at Barton Springs for an Austin Calendar that we have been putting together for 3 yrs. The shot will be half in/ half out of the water at the springs. I do have insurance, and can pay a rental fee as well. Let me know if anyone would be interested/ can help me out. Thanks!!!!!

Try posting on wetpixel.com - a number of the users there are from Austin.

I can speak from experience, U/W kit rental can get very pricey!

Merrick, did you have any luck with this?

I've looked into renting for my D200 but after looking at total cost, I'm about $400-$500 short of just buying it outright.

I wound up buying a used d20 aquatica package for my d200 - ran me about 2200 for housing, dome port, macro port and strobe arms...

I found a Sea and Sea (new) in for just the right price. The hosing and flat port for my 60 mm macro should be here tomorrow. I'm excited.
