Ryan, these are some pretty amazing shots - the colors of the reef are fantastic.

Looks like a great trip Ryan - I love Fiji. What did you think of the 11-16? I have heard good things.

yeah Fiji was awesome we even ended up having Gerald Allen on the boat....always good to have a fish expert on a trip where you don't recognize half the fish.

So far I like the 11-16mm...but there is a bit of a learning curve. I think I had the strobes angled in too much because I had a lot of shots where you can see the lens reflecting off the dome. And if you put the strobes too far forward (which isn't far) you can see them in the frame. And it's alot area to cover with even 2 ss-200's. There was also alot more particulate in the water than I was expecting which made wide shots difficult.

Yes, lighting for wideangle photography is really difficult. That's why you should take David Lenderman's underwater WA lighting workshop - offered by HUPS (free). Hint Hint :-)

Cheers

Beautiful shots. I loved Fiji.

Due to a previously broken ear drum, I missed the diving. But the food was, oh so good...!

Thanks for sharing the underwater shots.

I really like the first shot.

it's not the cheapest endeavor but It's alot of fun. I did some level and color adjustments and some cropping here and there but nothing major.......mainly because I don't know much about photoshop.

HUPS has had a forum for a couple of months. So far so good - haven't had any "Canon vs Nikon" flamewars :-)

Cheers
