Dslr Video Capabilities - 08-21-2009, 04:15 PM

I have been asked to video several hunts from blinds for outfitters and dog trainers. These prospects want quality stills and some short videos they can send to prospective customers of their guided hunts.
Sounds to me like an opportunity, however I don't know much about this capability.
I currently use a canon 40D with a passel of lens for the canon.
I know I will have to replace the 40D with a new body.
Is there a "tells all" book or article that can help me get equiped and personally knowledgable about using video with a DSLR?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do you know how to edit video after you shoot it? From some long ago expericence with 16mm film, editing and telling the story with moving images is a world apart from still photography.

You might want to take a look at this: Grammar of the Film Language
