Slow motion video? - 01-01-2012, 08:05 PM

Ok I need help with slow motion video. Im using a GoPro Hero 2 that plays at 120 fps. Ive tried using Corel Video studio pro vx4 with no luck. I used the time lapse/slowmotion slider and brought it down to 10 percent and it made it very choppy. I think Corel slows it down and deletes frames which causes it to be choppy. So then I tried using windows live movie maker and slowed the video down to .125(thats the slowest setting) and it worked but it did not seem real slow. I've wathced a bunch of youtube videos but none were real helpful. I would love to here the best and easiest way to make a smooth slow motion video. Thanks!

In my experience it all depends on the recording format and of course the settings in the program you are using.

I have had some fairly good results from both Apple Motion and Adobe After Effects CS5.

But I know there is another software much cheaper than these solutions that does it pretty good also. But I can't remember it right now. ... If I find it, I will post up.

EDIT: Found it ... it's called Twixtor ... but that's a plugin for some of the pro-software.
