"...Or its a piece of junk!!"

So says all the hype these days.
However, from someone who works in the film industry (Adult film industry i should say) here's his take;

you filmed any porn with a hd dslr yet?
No you can't. These cameras don't auto focus. The focus is all manual and you generally have to shoot on stix with these new DSLR's. They can't replace a real camera. When things are moving fast or and you have to hand hold and move with the shot DSLR video can't compare yet to a real video camera.

I have shot plenty of test videos just for fun. Instead I upgraded to Sony's PMW EX3 (http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/product-PMWEX3/). I shoot with that now for video. 1080p with interchangeable lenses onto cards. The features on this camera are mind blowing. I even got a focus ring and a focus pull to put my Nikkor lenses on it when I want extreme depths of field. For shooting sex though I use the stock lens with a wide angle adapter.

To me I want a still camera that excels at taking photos. The video is a cool feature but I don't want that to be the focus.
Wisdom!

Hey, it's a "dirty" job... somebody's gotta do it.

I just hope he's using as long a lens as possible.
