Telescoping Video Stand - 05-09-2010, 01:36 PM

The reason for the need is I live in the UK now and have come across an American Football league and they'd like some video footage from a high vantage point.

I've noticed in that past at high school games in the U.S. there is usually a video person with a small camcorder mounted onto a telescoping pole down at the end zone. The device has a coiled video chord which allows the user to see the video feed from an LCD screen at ground level. I would say these things go up to about 15-20 feet in the air.

Anyone know where I can find one of these on the Internet? I've looked and looked but no luck. Was hoping someone in here might know what they are called or the brand.

Thanks,
mike

We've got one of these:

Endzone Video cameras and accessories by End Zone Video

It's pretty hefty (we have the 25' rolling model), I imagine this would be something that's easier built with a remote head and LCD rather than spend $5k.

Thanks for the info. That's what I needed to know.

Oh, and $5K is a steal. It's £4100 here in the UK for the same model without VAT! That's about $6314 plus VAT!
