A cam operator friend of mine really likes the glidecam he feels it is much more smooth and is better weight distributed than the steadicam, keeping you from getting tired.

Im leaning towards the steadicam a little bit cause I've read that the glidecam is harder to stablize..Which Glidecam does he or she use?

I will ask him ...

Well, I know there are mixed reviews about both ... they both seem to be fairly even in my opinion. I don't use steadi-cam equipment ... but reading the reviews it seems like a tough choice.

Side note:
Nice a Canon XH-A1 ... I am disappointed that Canon stopped working on the XL-H1 HD ... I know the 5D is great, but I like the full body feel of a real HD Camera.

Panasonic and Sony definitely hold the battle in the Full HD Pro-Camcorder crowd.

The Glidecam is cheaper for sure an you know what they say,"you pay for you what get".. but yea I love that little camera it produces great HDvideo but without the image stablizer like on my XL-H1a its hard to free hand that thing, but still a great camera.
