Though the Sony is a great ProENG Camera company, for the cost and the same abilities ... I am looking at the Panasonic AG-AF100. A camera that rivals the Canon 5D and 7D video abilities and adapters to use Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Olympus lenses are already available for the AG-AF100.

Very good test. I like the detail the guy gave in his review.
It's definitely a camera I am looking at.
The debate for me is between this Sony and the Panasonic AF100 now ... the mounts to put my Nikon Lenses on them are the same price too.
I am disappointed there isn't a dial for ND filters like the other cameras in it's class, but for what it's worth this is a great looking camera.
I like the size of the sensor also, very nice. A true 16:9 sensor, not exactly 35 ... but pretty damn close for its price. Its awesome.
I may have to rent one and test it out for myself.

Check out the new VG20 also. It is vastly improved over the VG10.

After debating and debating ... I have decided to jump on one of these.
I look forward to testing it out and creating a review ... my first review.

Finally took the FS100 out for a proper video shoot test. I was brought on to video a band playing at one of the tents in the rodeo ... and WOW am I amazed at what the camera produced.
Such crisp and clean video. I can not wait to edit the video and show you guys how this footage looks. Sure the Canon 5D Mark II is great especially for the cost ... but for you dedicated and old-style video people, you really should check out the new large sensor video camcorders. You will be blown away as the day the Video was available on DSLRs.
I am stocked and super happy I jumped on this product. Look forward to creating plenty with it.

I can't wait to show you. I enjoyed the band plenty. Thanks for the pass over Dave/Jessica.
So, much fun. I am going to do a testimonial and showcase some of the footage.

Whether it's a better choice than a new-generation video-capable DSLR will very much be a personal decision by each user, depending on their particular needs. |

I am waiting for the Firmware update ... but loving the camera all in all.
I have used mine on about 10 gigs now ... and each time, I impress my clients. They love the quality and the speed of turn around for those wanting just the raw footage.

-Ray- | very cool. That form factor has to be better to use for pure video work, I'd think.
