Hello,

I would like to know if anyone has ever used any kind of DSLR Video Light/LED Panels?

Manfrotto
Dot Line
Bescor
Rotolight Creative Color Kit

or any other brand?

Is there any GOOD, BETTER and BEST lights for about $100, $200 and $300?

thanks.....

Adorama offers some cheaper options that have good performance, but your not gonna get away with anything too great under $200.

+1 to what Nathan said...I have been looking at them as a light source for stills...but have not been too impressed with anything under about $400.00...which you have to get online..(plus...don't have a budget right now to play...so I am waiting)...

I would be interested to find out what you finally get...

This is what I have been looking at...Vidpro 4-Piece Z-96K4 Professional Video & Photo Interlock LED Light Kit

Hope this helps a little....

I have the ebay version of Z96 LEDs what I notice is the skintone rendition isn't very good. Unless you use regular video light such as lowel. The Lowel is more warmth but the skin doesn't look greenish like LEDs

I've used Kino Flos and Arri LEDs continuous lighting.

The Arri's make great tungsten and HDMI lights, but for LEDs Kino Flos are so far the best I have used. The Kino Flos have a built in Dimmer switch in them that doesn't change the light temperature when changing the intensity of the lights.

The Arri and Kino Flos are a bit more pricey, but it all depends on what you want to spend and create.

The cheaper LEDs just don't give off enough light and like Khanh stated, they emit a blue tint that creates a colder look on a subject. So, just no a fan of them.

If you are looking for some good continuous lighting and don't mind tungsten lighting, the Lowels are great and cheap for what you get. But they are indoor balanced as oppose to outdoor balanced.

Thanks for sharing the experience. I've always wanted to look for a better light right now but I don't know which one to get exactly. I'll look into the ones that you suggested.
