Canon pushing video again

So, Canon has announced their new C300 ... straight cine battle camera to play with the Sony F3, Arri Alexa and Red MX cameras.

And this new Canon, looks real promising. I think their bump up, is that they will have 2 versions. One to use the PL mount (Cine Lenses) and one for the standard EF mount for your Canon DSLR lenses to just mount on without an adapter. That's going to bridge the gap of prosumer and professional quite a bit.

What you do you guys think?

Very interested in it. I'm just not committed into video to justify something like this though. But without a doubt, I would love to play with one of these.

Same here. I am looking at actually getting the Sony FS100 (the baby of the F3) but this Canon development is quite interesting.

When it comes out, I hope to have a gig that opens their budget to rent one of these.
