How do you focus with 5D Mark ii??

Which camera do you perfer when shooting video and what lens would you say you use the most... Been thinking about getting a one of these canon DSLR for video mainly and would like some suggestions

The 5D mark II is well regarded in the DSLR video field.

Lens? .... depends on what, when, where, who & why you want to shoot. Only you can answer your question after a LOT of research. Fast glass (low f stops) are the most desirable lens for video ... just like stills.

The following video has a tutorial on using the 5dmii for video. It has a section on focusing. I have not tried it yet but he shows you how he does it, not real time but you can use the quick mode and manual together so maybe useful.

What is the difference (other than the 1.6 crop) between the 5D Mark II and the 7D in respect of videography?

I wouldn't think there was any difference. They both shoot in 1080p.
