Cool video. Most shots were from ground level from a truck or on a trolly of some sort - and I do not have a clue how they did the fly over stuff unless they rented a helocopter and had it move very slowly...

I didnt see anything that didnt look like it was a full ariel shot.
* Definitely lots of shots across bridges. Most likely done from a dolly like mentioned below, or a flatbed truck (for the height). Would suspect the dolly, as it wouldnt impeded traffic in the process not to mention it looked like similar shots from several venues where vehicles wouldnt be permitted, however since I havent traveled to these places... I dunno first hand.
* Definitely a dolly (not a dolly system), but a movable platform on wheels for the shots going across the courtyards, down the grass, down walkways, etc.
* Dedinitely something on a PT boom arm (ie: Cambo V15 dolly system)
* On the uphill walk throught the vineyard if not the dolly, then a painstaking process to level the legs of a tripod.
* On the ending shot, simply a dolly roll along a higher vineyard level looking across and back to the left. You can see the vineyard come into the bottom of the frame at the end.

Take all the Timelapse, and render the video.
Then feed the video thorugh a post-process effect like New Blue FX - Stablizer, to level out all the video frames and make it look like a smooth, contiguous video.

Yes, I use the New Blue FX stuff when needed, and love them. Some of them, I have yet to find a use for, therefore have never used or purchased them.

Checkout their CineSlider rig in the video in the middle of the page at : T-RECS Timelapse Recordings / Motion Control Zeitrafferproduktion. Their different angles of the slider rig make for some cool shots.

In fact... watch that WHOLE video, including his walk down the spiral staircase. What I stated earlier about shooting it, rendering it, then putting it through a stabilizer effects process.... right on the nose!

BINGO... found it. A video of their PT Jib Arm test, mounted on top of their CineSlider Rail system : Timelapse Recordings - BTS Jib Arm MoCo Test - Twitvid

I was going to say a tripod of sorts...with some sort of tether system to move the camera from one point to the other at a constant level...

Very cool stuff...

Greg beat me too it

After watching the video went hunting. Their home page is T-RECS Timelapse Recordings / Motion Control Zeitrafferproduktion. It’s in German but chrome translated it for me. Some great videos on how it was done. All the equipment can be bought at Kessler Crane - Quality Professional Camera Cranes, Camera Jib and Camera Support Products.

How does New Blue compare with the "warp stabilizer" in AE CS5.5? Have you tried both?

Probably used something like this for their aerial footage.

A lot of tehnology out there for fantastic aerial shots.

^^ I think the helicopter would run out of juice before the timelapse was over.

They probably used the motor rail and had the camera going up at an extreme angle.

I have seen that once before.

I've seen some videos using R/C airplanes and helicopters. A Hero would be light enough.
The only video I've seen of the warp stabilizer was a walk around a statue without a stabilizer. After processing it looked like a glide cam pic. Imagine how clean actual Glidecam wedding footage could be after running it through warp. Kessler has a lot of affordable gear, but the automated stuff is pretty steep.

I agree ... you pay a pretty penny for such nice automation.

There's probably an app for that... no wait... if there was Sonny would have it

whoa... that was amazing... and yet another video that highlights my total lack of skill...

I think it was a combo of long dolly's and camera moves plus some pretty dang good editing in post.
