My still pics will appear on the front page of the Dallas Morning News' Guide Live section on Monday, August 17, 2009, if you care to view those... However, this thread is about the Canon's video feature, so the stills aren't really relevant. I think this concert was probably an extreme for the camera, so I expect better quality from a more tame show.

Looks good man!
I've been playing with the video feature for the last two weeks and I'm constantly blown away by the quality.
But now I find myself looking at sliderails, steadycams, follow focus, etc....dangerous territory.

Yes, it's tempting to go all-in and start adding all the video goodies. I'm trying to see how much you can do with a stock camera. I think the audio is a fail on this attempt, but I've had decent audio during quieter situations with it. I'd think an external mic with level meters and a steadycam would boost this camera's usefulness ten fold!
