I compiled a few videos from my drives in the Alps across Europe last month during my 335is euro delivery.

Used: Canon 7D Camera, Sigma 8-16mm Lens, Gripper 3025 Suction Cup Mount

Very cool. Some shots from it mounted at the tip of the hood pointed forward would have been awesome, but maybe a little risky.

That is very cool.

Brave to trust such a mount ... Looks like it worked well for you. Does it hold on in sharp turns?

Yeah, I only did it a few times at low speeds but the footage was pretty boring then. The problem with the hood is that it has curves so the grip isn't that solid.

The mount held on like a rock and there were a couple of places I was pulling quite some lateral g's (it was mounted on the moonroof glass so the grip was quite solit). Also as a fail-safe, I also had a camera strap pulled in and tied inside.
