Just curious, the flashing of the church, were there other people there taking photos of it?

Witty (or at least an attempt at witty) answers:

(1) Jake had a flashlight in his hand and he was playing with the dogs
(2) Spirits kept flashing in and out of the scene. It was very annoying.

Truth:

Every time a car drove by or just came close to where we were shooting the headlights would light the building for one frame. Maybe a frame and a half. The video was compiled at 24fps so it looks like a momentary flash.
