David Hockney on What's Unphotographable

Hockney is always searching for a medium that will explain the soul.
It brings to mind the ever reaching argument that photography is not "fine art" because photography is a mechanical process, vs. painting/drawing which is a cerebral process. Painters and photographers will always debate the seriousness of their work. Sometimes the two blend, and sometimes they diverge. It is all wonderful.....in my mind..
