It was an awesome video, never seen it before. Great job, I wish to do that some day, but own a D200. Hopefully soon be able to afford D700 or D3.

Exactly. You don't need a D700. The vid is done by taking like 7000 shots and making a single HDR image out of each 7 shots. Then he puts them together time-lapse to create a vid.
