Cool: TriCoast in Minute Maid Park - 01-21-2009, 11:08 PM

Those of you that are familiar with TriCoast Photography understands how serious we take our business. Monkey business. On a sunny afternoon. This is a behind the scene video from a shoot right before Christmas. You might recognize some of the images from this other thread.

In case you were wondering how the song goes...

Awesome as usual. What type of processing are you using to get the deep saturated colors in the first few? Are they from the Finding Color actions or something else?

Pretty much everything we do, at least 90% of the time, is found in our Action Set and/or processing DVD. Really it is VERY basic photoshop with raise of colors (blues mainly) and then applying actions to finish it off.

We only sold our actions after we developed them for our use, in reality they only got sold out of demand we never had any plans on doing it!

Cool. Thanks for the info.

How do you like it? Is it easy to use? Build quality?

Does the flash mount inside the box or outside? (Where you can control the flash dials without opening the softbox)

Well since it has MY NAME on the side of the softbox I do kinda like it :)

Yes very if you can open up an umbrella you can use this softbox

Very lightweight by design due to being lighter and more portable, there are others out there which are heavier and by design that is great for that way of shooting. TriCoast (as you saw in the video) shoots all over the place and we need something we can move from one location to the next quickly and easily. Packing a few pounds lighter really saves you in the long run.

Yes it mounts on a ball mount which allows you to tilt the softbox, another thing I like about it. The flash mounts outside the back plate so you can adjust anything you need if you do not use Radio Popper Units, but since we were using them you never have to touch the back of your wireless flash unit since you control everything from the Master/Commander Unit. Again something a Pocket Wizard simply can not do!

Hope that helps answer your questions if not please ask away or if you have more I will try and answer them as I can.
