I've been waiting for them to do this so I can take advantage of "backward compatibility" with my plus II's and If I'm lucky, the radio popper crowd will fall on their swords refusing to make the move back which will mean these should be easily obtainable soon after they hit the market.

Love it when healthy competition heats up...PW's been dominating too long and becoming lazy in their innovation. RP changed that, love it and good for them both.

It's about time. Why didn't Canon use come up with this stuff so we wouldn't have to go to a third party.

PW has done a great job with this one and Abel is correct 4-6 weeks on Nikon TTL. PW has in the past worked with Nikon to retrofit DSLRs with PW.

I wonder if RP and PW (device) could talk to each other.

I wouldn't think so as they should not be utilizing the same frequencies. But you could probably get away with leaving a RP setup on a flash that was mounted on a miniTT1 if you couldn't convince yourself to leave RP. It all depends on what kind of EM interference is generated by having the units in close proximity trying to do the same thing.

if they're backwards compatible and incorporate the TTL into the backwards compatibility then that makes them even greater in my eyes. I'd love to buy just 1 and be able to get TTL on my Nikons

Ming,

What did I tell you? stop jumping out & buying new stuff right away, wait for them to field test it first or you can field test your RPs and resell them to me at a 90% discount

This is great news, but I'm in no hurry to go & buy a set either. As my experience with technologies goes, the more "features" one has, the more bugs. So, just wait for them to get tested & worked out all the kinks first.

That's great. Maybe I could ask RP to do the price match. LOL.

Glad I have not made any RP purchases yet. Think I will sit back and wait till all the kinks are worked out.
