Thanks Abel, I just got my D300, and didn't know it could do that. If I could get it away from my daughter long enough to play with it a while...

One thing to do also is to set the Stand-by function to "--" so that the flash doesn't go to sleep while in Remote mode. I have seen that pressing the shutter half way is not enough to wake up the remote flash, instead you have to press the shutter, which will result in no flash. The second press has the flash awake. This is my observation, but I'd be interested in the experience of others.
