Just finished our new business site for now. I kinda feel like it needs something else but i cant put my finger on it .... we wanted a relitevly simple design.

Also I think i may do away with the opening video .....or at the least make it shorter

Let me know what you guys think

Not sure if it was firefox or not but the opening intro wouldn't play. Played fine when I opened it in IE. I think the flash transitions could be just a tad faster on the home page. I think adding some color to the background would be beneficial and you would still maintain the simple design your going for. By clicking on the link to restoration and then pricing, I get a different pricing link when going from photostory to pricing. The plain font doesn't seem to fit on the clients and pricing page. just my two cents...

I was trying for something easier to read than the company logo font ....with the plain font choice. I have been playing with background colors......a few people have suggested that ... Im not sure how to get the flash to load faster other than make it smaller? .....
Do you think taking the user to a diffrent pricing page is confusing ? my reasoning was if the user clicked pricing from the photostory page it is because he wants to see the pricing for the photostory ......

Thanks for the input

I second what Ricardo said about Firefox.

Intro need to speed up a few knots, most users like to get over it quick. The chances are they will skip the intro with this speed.

Intro layer blending is not smooth, adjust the fps. Not too crazy about pre-made round feathering on the blended in images.

First I love the design and layout and wish I could do something similar to my site because I'm still trying to find the WOW factor...
a few things:
At the top of the Explorer bar, you usually see the site name, yours still says "New Page 1" on every page...a simple fix but I often forget that one myself
Shorten the video or get rid of it, most clients won't wait long to watch all of this and even though the skip intro button is there, they will leave
On the page after the intro, it would be best if all the images loaded quicker rather than what appears to be another flash program, clients might think it's another video and click away, but if you remove the first one, then this won't matter
On your Restoration page you say that they can upload an image for a price quote here, but there is no link to an email address so how would they upload the image?
Again, you did a good job and I hope that you take this is a positive light....

Corrected the title on all pages.
Dropped the intro video.
Flipped the colors on the gallery page.
Removed upload wording from restoration page ( till i can figure out how to get that working )

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm open to more.

Hey everyone thanks for all the help you have givin me already with my website. I have made a few changes and wanted to see how everyone liked them or disliked them.
Particularly we started using exposure manager .... I think I have got it set up ...check the clients page and let me know what you think ....

Once inside, it appears you do weddings, family portraits, etc...but all you have on the front page is three pictures of a pregnant woman and one of a child, and it's hard to tell if anybody is happy in any of them. Just from the intro screen if I knew nothing else I would assume you only do pregnancy photos and children and would probably move on if I were looking for a wedding photographer.

Seems like it's just floating - 09-12-2006, 03:43 PM

On the white background. Everything else looks nice.

Now I seem like the website background critic. I just commented on another site's black background.

Anyway I hope this helps
