Laura,
I like the layout and design, very niv\ce and easy on the eyes and the Photos are AWESOME, the only problem I had with it is if I am viewing your galleries and click the home link in the top left corner it tells me the page cannot be found and this is what i see in my browser: http://www.laurarossiphoto.com/galle...rossiphoto.com, so in a sense I have to hit the back button in order to get back to your home page.

Other than that I think it looks great.

I don't care for the website itself, but the photography is incredible.

I agree with Stephen its easy on the eyes, simple and right to the point.

However, I am not sure if your focused on people being able to find yourself for services etc...

But if you want your site to be SEO compatible you might want to add a bit more content, search engines like google are not meta based there bots are programmed to take content and automatically put things in a category by location, content type, language, and rating.

Logo's are great to have, but at the same time if your going to use an image for your logo http://www.laurarossiphoto.com/logo.jpg then try to make sure that you put alt-tags on all your images, that way search engines know what the image is. Every bit of text helps

If you have any SEO questions please feel free to ask (Search Engine Optimazation)

my new web site - 06-23-2006, 10:37 AM

thanks for your comments...
as you may have understood, my knowledge of html is very basic. I built this site with Frontpage and the image galleries with Jalbum, with the goal of having an online portfolio. Any "commercial" input are of course welcome....but I am completely new to the american system and I don't have any ideas about what that would imply from the point of view of taxes....
Anyway, it may be useful to put alt-tags on my images...I already tried to advertise my web site in google ("add url") and so far no results...probably these tags are the reason!
What are they exactly?
Stephen, is there an authomatical way to add such alt-tags to all my images in Frontpage?
Thanks!

My name is carl :-P I was just referring to stephen's comment about your site being easy on the eyes.

Yes, I do not use frontpage, i use dreamweaver but to add text to the alt tag in frontpage just double click the image and choose the tab called general, there should be a spot for text and a long description.

Hello:

I like the first page. The initial photo made me want to see your gallery. You could add javascript to get a slide show type of effect on the first page. This web site has some examples: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/.

When I went back from the link page, the photo didn't appear.

If you want to sell your photo you might want to switch your gallery to exposure manager. They provide an excellent process to sell your work.

If you want to see an example you can go to www.stevebomar.com and select galleries. I just signed up with them yesterday and this is my first attempt to use them. If you want to use me as a reference when you sign up you get something and so do I. I just don't know what it is. Reference link http://www.exposuremanager.com/aff/sebomarb

I really like the photos.

Steve Bomar
