Well I am back I have made some modification on my site. I modeled it after Keepsake Girl and Alyson Camaco. Let me know what you think.

If you like the home page slide show maybe we can work out a deal. It is database driven. To add photos all I have to do is browse for it and it is automatically moved to my web site and the php code creates a list out of the database and builds the slide show. It only takes a few seconds to add photos.

Let me know what you guys think and any suggestions.

This follows my strict guideline that I give my clients when i say less is more.

It loads relatively fast with the exception of the slideshow script has a slight lag to it but nothing major.

I love how you kept it clean and simple and easy to navigate, I think it will be alot easier on your clients or anyone who stumbles upon your site.

Hi Steve!

My first impression is that it is a nice improvement, definitely in the right direction. Here are some things that I think you should address for further improvement (ff1.5, windows):

1. You need padding around text on 'about' and 'services' Also lots of awkward blank space on those pages.
2. You need a better photo of yourself. Cluttered background doesn't say busy, it say cluttered (but don't look at my desk).
3. Your link color isn't consistent. At first I thought, yeah, the red and green is gone, then I found it again. Stick with the grey/blue scheme.
4. Your list on 'portfolio' is on top of your border. It needs spacing. Also, you have a second, blank section on the right that looks awkward.
5. Your pages shift as I click through the site. Annoying. As does your heading. You rock-solid location of your navigation and generally any item that is on multiple pages.
6. I'm still unclear as to what you do (this is the worst problem imho). I'm immediately impressed that you are nature photog, then click on 'services' and get that you do seniors (even though there are no photos of seniors???). Then the portfolio is all over the place, located by individual shoots or even thoughts??? instead of a few clear topics.
7. I like the slideshow fine, but it is slow. I don't know how many clients or people in general who are going to wait 10 seconds between slides.

Hope this helps. You know me well enough by now I am trying to help, not be critical. I've been down this design path too many times myself. Specific ideas for help are like gold to me.

Clayton

Hello Clayton.

I looked at your web site. It works real well. I see how I can make some changes on my site.

I am trying to break into photography in the senior maket.

What I am working on is how I do the view your photos online. I have been thinking about using exposure manager. But I am a little concerned about sales tax and how it gets paid. Do you have any thoughts on how to do online order fullfillment and sales tax collection?
