I believe I have finally got most of the finishing touches on my website. I still need to get some more examples for the different sections but i am more concerned about content and information then examples right now. I designed and built this from the ground up so I would really like some feed back.

The only thing I have still got to figure out is a proofing system, but I am not in need of that right now.

Thanks,

Michael Boggan

There's something strange going on in the "about" page... the text stops inside that black frame, then continues underneath it but gets cut off at the bottom of the page. It's this text:

Quote:
What to Expect

Portraits are done in comfortable settings. Either your home or a favorite location such as a park, etc.. We can use our portable backgrounds or you can choose the more natural backgrounds at your location. Either way, WE COME TO YOU. This makes groups or families with small children, easie
That copied more than I can see on my screen--I can read it up to the end of the line "can choose the more natural backgrounds at your".

Oh and--why does the pricing page have a table for "Lifetime package" that lists the membership fee and 12 entries of the same price?

OK I forgot to put a disclaimer.

***At this time, this site best viewed with Internet Explorer.

I am having issues with divs and tables, etc. in FF.

Yeah, that's fixed in IE.

A word about your wording (pardon the pun): you are switching between "we" and "I" in the different pages. "About" is we, "Children" is we, "Family Portraits" is we, "Sports" shifts to I, and "Events" is back to we. I would suggest that you go with "we" throughout the site.

Also, some of the text is a bit choppy--there are some fragments and things like that scattered around.

Site looks nice - but your prints are waaaay to cheap. Your print prices are cheaper than Sears!

Sorry, realize that wasn't at all what you were asking...

minor point, by stating
Quote:
JMC2 Photography is currently located in Plano, Texas.
it makes your business sound either temporary or about to relocate.

I think the background distracts from the content, as did another person who looked over my shoulder (unsolicited comment).

Sports section is mostly all one team/player. Makes it seem like you don't really do that.

You need lots more content, as you mention.

As was posted above, site has lots of weird gaps/quirks in FF. You can't make me use Explorer. All sites for the general public need to be optimized for FF. It has grown exponentially in an amazingly short time.

Ok. I believe I have fixed the FF issues. I also got rid of the distracting background. Other then needing A LOT more in photo samples, how does it look now?

Thanks.

Hey Junomech, you're prices aren't on your site... I don't know if I should agree? Strategic decision not to post them?

I chose not post them in case that would turn away potential clients. I'm afraid of losing business.
