See if you can get rid of the grey box to the left of the word home. I kept wanting to click on it and found my eye drawn to it repeatedly.

The format is very clean.

I don't care for the lines on the outside of the photos but I do like the smaller shots to the side of the bigger viewed shot.

The info below the shots I would delete. Most viewing are not going to care.

When you view the slide show it moves the page so you have to scroll down to see the whole shot each time. Annoying.

- use javascript to control the slideshow
- I agree with getting rid of the borders
- the breadcrumbs ("HOME » Galleries » Sports » Viewing 02_DSC_1719 ") is slick, but takes away from your photography
- i think the Nav icons would go well in the breadcrumbs line
- the Nav icons have a white, pixelated border which shows up on your black bg
- there is a blue background behind the Sinick Photography logo/image. Sometimes your logo is slow to load (nothing you can do about it because it could be a visitor's connection is slow) and the bg shows. Try to get rid of it.

Question The Name - 02-01-2007, 03:01 PM

I realize it's probably your family name,"Sinick," but to a stranger "cynic" is not a positive term. If you plan extensive marketing of this business, you might consider a more appealing company name.

Please don't be offended, but you asked. It's just my two cents.

I never thought about that. I have had very few people make that connection between my name and cynic. I really dont plan on making this an extensive business. Just a side job. I am a chemical engineer and that sucks up a lot of my time as is.

I like your site, Adam! Only a couple of ideas:

- Drop in a couple of small photos on your Home, Services, About Us, and Contact Us pages to give them some visual interest.

- Perhaps change Contact Us to just Contact so you're not repeating Us so close together.

- All of your site except your Gallery album pages fits nicely in an 800x600 window, but the album pages and individual picture pages don't even fit horizontally on my 1024x768 monitor. I would aim to get the width down to fit an 800x window, or at least 1024. Try setting fewer columns in the albums and using a smaller size for the individual images.

Great start, though!
