Ok... so thanks to Breezy (again) I was able to put up a site together in record time. It was actually a pretty painless experience after having tried winklet and a few others with no luck... I'm kind of HTML impaired

Anyway, please let me know what needs improvement... Keep in mind that I'm a full time High School Math Teacher, have 4 kids, and am attending graduate school so I would only do this time permitting... at most twice a week (again, time permitting)....

I'd also appreciate any other thoughts that might help...
I'm not planning on advertising (just by word of mouth) nor giving my link to people until I feel it's completely 'polished'.

TIA!

I like your site, well done. I think the way many of the photos load as three panels is cool and different.

What would I say to improve it? Please get a better mug shot of yourself. Your photo should be as good as or better than all the others.

Steve

Nice, I agree with Steve, the three panel transition is nice. I too am HTML impaired. What software did you use?

Mike - I used a template that I purchased (along with the domain name, music, slideshow viewer/maker, etc, etc - lots of goodies) from Photobiz.com

It's pretty cool!

Nice site. However, I agree about the "mug shot" as Steve put it. Find someone to do a professional headshot or portrait of you. Something classy to compliment the site. :-)

Nice job Cristina. I like your site. Did you have to have html or other special knowledge with the template you purchased or was it pretty much a cut and paste to put you info in? I've thought about purchasing a template, but was not sure if I had the ability to construct the site.

Very well done. I like the 3-panel merge effect, too, and agree with the other advice. I don't know how you do it. Awesome!

Thanks guys!

Like I said earlier, I'm pretty much HTML impaired so buying from
http://www.photobiz.com

was such a blessing

It's not even cut and paste....it's more like click-and-drag...that easy I tell you
And the 3-panel effect is one of the options one has for the home page... you upload your pic and underneath there's a drop-down menu where you can select the 'effect' you want your pics to have.... really cool.

Kudos to Christina4k! I did the same thing and the setup was a BREEZE! I had everything plugged in and ready to go in like 4 hours. Hit "publish" and it was up on the internet a few hours after that!

What sold me was the password protected online proofing.

I like your site! I plan on using PhotoBiz myself once I build up a decent enough portfolio.

The only problem I see is that the "Between Us" gallery doesn't seem to want to load at all. The other 2 came up quickly. Saying this is your first gallery on your pull-down list, people might think the others are slow to load as well and move on. Gotta grab people in under 10 seconds or they split!
